I'll be the first to admit that I have a slight obsession with shoes (I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that!). While I do own a few designer pairs, I love when I find an affordable version of a designer heel (an example last seen here). I've come across quite a few less expensive alternatives that I thought I'd share with you. I'm particularly obsessed with #1 on my list. Let's hope Steve Madden doesn't have a sale anytime soon!
1. YSL Trib too vs. Steve Madden Beautey
2. Miu Miu Flared Heel Pumps vs. Chinese Laundry Moving On*
3. Giuseppe Zanotti Snake Pump vs. Zara Pumps*
4. Lanvin Ballet Flats vs. Gap City Ballet Flats
* Currently on sale
I am going to save splurge on those Mui Mui heels!!

The Miu Miu heels are my fave, but I actually think I like the Chinese Laundry ones more. That color is perfect for spring and they would be so versatile! <3

I think I'd go with the save one on every choice. I actually like the way they look better!

Amazing how the cheaper alternatives look so similar to the more expensive versions! I'm all for saving!

Love this! The cheaper alternatives are almost EXACT to the expensive brands. That is awesome - I love those black flats.
ReplyDeleteShoes are one thing I always think high end is best. Walking around NYC wearing inexpensive shoes is usually painful!

Wow this is great, really puts things into perspective—steals or deals?
ReplyDeletegorgeous!

Hmmm...I think I'd splurge on the Miu Miu shoes and go less on everything else! Every girl should have a pair of Miu Mius in their closet I say :)

GREAT comparisons!! My biggest criteria is comfort--I don't care what a shoe costs, if it's comfortable, I'm splurging or saving!

Great finds, I'm loving those yellow snake heels!

ReplyDeleteWow, the price differences between these shoes are really shocking! It seems hard to justify spending $795 on that first pair from YSL when you could have an almost identical shoe for $130! Great comparison :)
