Spicy Thai Noodles

I recently came across a pic of spicy thai noodles on Pinterest and had to make it for myself.  You know when you pin a food picture that looks so damn good you want to eat it immediately?  Well, that was the case with this dish.  I followed this easy recipe but used canola oil instead of vegetable oil and left out the cilantro.  It came out just as good as it looks.

Ingredients:
1 box linguine
1 tbsp crushed red pepper
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup sesame oil
6 tbsp honey
6 tbsp soy sauce
green onion, shredded carrots and broccoli, crushed peanuts

Directions:
cook linguine as directed
heat both oils in a small sauce pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes
strain out pepper and reserve oil
whisk honey and soy sauce into oil
toss mixture with cooked linguine, shredded carrots & broccoli and chopped green onion
top with crushed peanuts
enjoy!

  3. your recipe calls for 1/2 cup of sesame oil. most recipes I see (usually stir-fry) usually call for a teaspoon at most. I have toasted sesame oil - is that the same as what your recipe uses?
