Berry Green Smoothie


I love green smoothies.  They're so refreshing and also happen to be an incredibly easy way to get your daily intake of fruits and veggies.  Instead of paying $8 for one at a trendy juice bar, I decided to make my own at home.  Simply throw fresh spinach, berries, orange juice and a banana into a blender (I used a Magic Bullet).  Try adding peanut butter or vanilla greek yogurt for extra protein.  Healthy, easy, delicious!  


Ingredients:
3 - 4 strawberries, sliced
1 banana, sliced
Handful of blueberries
3/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
1 cup fresh spinach
Blend it all together and enjoy!

  2. this is perfect. I have been on the hunt for a new smoothie recipe. I have all these ingredients but totally forgot that adding juice to this berry/spinach mix would be just as tasty! =)

  3. Delicious...and I actually had a very similar breakfast, except instead of juice I used almond milk, and instead of bananas, frozen peaches. So, well-timed, this gives me an idea of how to switch it up tomorrow!
