Green Smoothie Bowl


Say hello to my favorite new snack...the green smoothie bowl.  I stumbled across this recipe on Pinterest and couldn't wait to make it for myself.  I used ingredients that I had at home, so my version is slightly different than the original.  I've recently gotten into cardio barre classes and this green smoothie bowl is the perfect post work out snack/meal.  Seriously, it's so yummy that I sometimes have it for lunch as well.  Oh and if you like this, be sure to check out my homemade Açaí berry bowl post here.

 Ingredients:
 1/2 cup non fat plain greek yogurt
1/2 ripe banana
1 cup fresh baby spinach
1/4 cup frozen mango
splash of coconut water

Directions:
Blend all ingredients together until smooth
Transfer to a bowl and place in the freezer for approximately 30 minutes

 Toppings I used:
1 diced banana
2 diced kiwis
shredded coconut
(I would have added Chia seeds if I had them!)
YUM!
